Accessibility Audits

Overview

Under the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (PSBAR), many organisations are required to prove the level of accessibility compliance of their digital estate against the EN 301 549 harmonised EU standard and WCAG 2.2 AA.

The expected evidence of compliance is:

Proof of testing against WCAG 2.2 AA (sometimes called an audit)
An accessibility statement which accurately reflects the testing results
A remediation plan for identified accessibility issues

We offer comprehensive auditing services against WCAG 2.2 AA and superseding PSBAR requirements using a wide range of tools to assess compliance levels and identify accessibility issues. All of our audits include a mix of thorough manual testing using a range of assistive technologies and reasonable adjustments, a selection of automated testing and our expert screen reader review which is conducted by our in-house full time screen reader user.

We offer accessibility auditing for any web based systems or mobile apps, so can support you with websites, internal web based applications, 3rd party software and mobile apps.

Deliverables

A report detailing WCAG 2.2 AA failures across the audit scope, including suggested impact on user groups and possible remediations
Identification of any PSBAR impacts on compliance and a suggestion of applicable exemptions
A draft accessibility statement guaranteed to be compliant with PSBAR requirements based on the report findings.
Follow up review session to discuss the findings of the report and remediations with system owners and developers
